Hi….

This past week, wasn’t the best. And no thanks, I’m not looking for pity.

Motivation is an occasional friend. July was a smooth uphill ride. And the first week of august was a rapid descend into the fiery pits of Mordor.

I was feeling numbed out and quite demotivated, every day I kept running from one 5ing to the next, yet I still managed to spend a ridiculous amount of time just lying on the couch staring at YouTube videos about absolutely nothing.

While reviewing the past week I tried to remember my significant accomplishments, I could only think of cleaning the house. And I did that on Monday!

There was a lot of procrastinating using distractions to avoid responsibilities and then to top it up towards the end of the week my sinuses started acting up.

I know exactly where things went wrong, getting distracted with my phone and just kind of sitting in the couch staring at the TV. I can’t even remember what I watched. I was doing that thing of having 2 screens and not paying attention to any of them.

So with all of these demotivating uninspiring and borderline lazy behaviour, this week I made a list of things I will try and do every day this week to get me back up to where I was:

  • Write 3 priorities to focus on each day as soon as I wake up;
  • Breakdown each priority into 3 tasks I will need to do in order to help me get the focus I need for each priority;
  • Dedicate 20 mins on each task (at least) which I will try to schedule in my planner
  • fill up and carry my water bottle all day wherever I go.

These are 4 points, I’m even thinking about uploading my priorities and tasks and a daily overview of how much water I drank here. But maybe I’ll just write on my planner or on my bullet journal. I’ll find a way to document my progress. I want to hold myself accountable for the goals I have put on myself.
